Daniel B Reid - Chief Regional Advisor Americas & Pacific. Dan’s role is to spearhead the group’s development into the Americas and the Pacific. Dan was appointed to this role from his previous position as Chief Operating Officer of Six Senses Resorts & Spas.

Prior to joining Six Senses in 2004, Dan was Director Lodge Operations for Waiau Bay Farms - a New Zealand-based group with a diverse portfolio including luxury lodges and wineries. He came to that role from that of Chief Operating Officer for Island Outpost Hotels, a small upscale grouping of 12 hotels and resorts located in Jamaica, Bahamas and Miami Beach.

Dan’s professional record includes a six-year tenure with Amanresorts as General Manager of Amanpulo Resort in the Philippines, and General Manager and Area Manager of Amanresorts Indonesia at Amanusa Resort in Nusa Dua Bali. During his career, Dan has also operated resorts in the British Virgin Islands and Antigua, during which time he served as a director of the Caribbean Hotel Association for a period of seven consecutive years.

Dan is based in Portland, Oregon in his native Canada.
